Documenting your day in an artistic way!

I love what I do. I am honored to have the privilege to spend the day with couples who are looking for artistic and documentary style photos that represent who they are as individuals, as well as the magic they create as a couple.

Santorini, Greece, 2008

When we were in Greece we took 5 days and went to Oia on Santorini in Greece. It was so amazing! The views are unlike anything you have ever seen. As a photographer I was overwhelmed by all the possibilities! If any of you out there are thinking of going to Santorini, it is definitely worth it - although there were some things that we were disappointed about. There are really no good beaches there. We pretty mcuh knew this because the island is all volcanic rock so the edges of the island go right down into the water. There was one black sand beach but it was very overcrowded. We were glad we stayed in Oia because it was very peaceful there. The main town of Fira (or Thira) was very overcrowded with tourists. Oia was much more quaint and we had a room that overlooked the Caldera and the water. The rooms that are on the cliffs are worth it! Bring your $$$$!! Especially right now with the Euro so strong. All in all I would have gone again - but not for too long - I liked that we went back to Kefallonia which has the best beaches in Greece.

Can you find Pete? It's like where's waldo! (Look dead center under umbrella)

Anne & Jarrett, June 21st

So I am finally posting some images from the amazing wedding of Anne & Jarrett that took place on June 21st. They had their ceremony at the Naval Academy Chapel and then bused everyone down to Oxon Hill Manor in Oxon Hill, MD. They had every room at Oxon Hill done with a different color palette, along with the biggest tent I have ever seen that covered the back patio. In the tent they had vibrant lanterns and white lounge sofas. The wedding coordinator for this event was Allison Jackson from Pineapple Productions. She always does an amazing job with every wedding I have worked on with her. Allison , Elizabeth and the rest of her wonderful staff are so easy and fun to work with. I love them so much!

I also have to give a shout out to Leah McKay, who did the makeup for Anne and the bridal party, as well as some relatives. She is an amazing makeup artist who I HIGHLY recommend! She is wonderful and does amazing makeup. She is also a very cool person to be around - which is nice when you are getting ready for one of the biggest days of your life!

The whole weekend was a huge party and I was so thankful to be a part of it!

It was thrown at Ceviche in Silver Spring and the featured drink was the Blue Sky Martini! What a blast to chat with other wonderful vendors, exchanging ideas, information and inspiration!

Anne  & Jarrett's  Rehearsal Dinner

The images below are from the rehearsal dinner of Anne Nash & Jarrett Davies. They had about 300 guests for an amazing event at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. They took 3 large boats from the City Dock in Annapolis over to the Beach Club and had an amazing spread of crabs and BBQ chicken waiting for the guests when they arrived. The food was amazing and the weather was beautiful! They ate while the sun set over the bay and then had toasts and a slide show. Then all the guests boarded the boats back to the City Dock. The boats had crab hats and sailor hats for the guests along with a delicious array of desserts. What a beautiful evening!

They wanted a portrait session before the wedding (of the bride) and full coverage of a party Thursday before the wedding, The rehearsal dinner and the wedding. It was an amazing week and an amazing wedding. We did the portrait at the Naval Academy, where the ceremony was held as well. The below picture is from the portrait session.
