Documenting your day in an artistic way!

I love what I do. I am honored to have the privilege to spend the day with couples who are looking for artistic and documentary style photos that represent who they are as individuals, as well as the magic they create as a couple.

Emily & Matt, September 12, 2009

Emily & Matt were married at St. Stephen's church in Foggy Bottom on September 12th of 2009. She got ready at the Fairmont - he got ready at their apartment which was within walking distance of the church. After the ceremony we rode in the limo over to the capitol and then to the waterfront in Georgetown to take pics. Missy and I then had to fight traffic to get to the reception site which was at the intersection of Wisconsin and M streets in Georgetown. We had fun taking shots of them in the middle of the street - so glad they were game. There was no harm done to the bride & groom with the taking of these shots - (disclaimer.) I loved their reception site which was The City Tavern. It is an old large historic row home that has so many nooks and crannies to get lost in. I think I went up 3 flights to take some night shots and I still wasn't at the top! They have a terrace off the back where the cocktail hour took place. Her mom works for Hershey so we got a present at the end of the night - bags of chocolate! The ride home was much more enjoyable that day!

Missy captured this amazing moment...
