Documenting your day in an artistic way!

I love what I do. I am honored to have the privilege to spend the day with couples who are looking for artistic and documentary style photos that represent who they are as individuals, as well as the magic they create as a couple.

Sarah & Erik, October 3, 2009

Sarah & Erik were married at the Thomas Birkby House in Leesburg, VA on October 3, 2009. I absolutely love shooting at the Birkby house!! It is such a quaint, intimate place for a wedding. Missy and I have done a bunch of weddings here over the years and we always get a warm and peaceful feeling when we pull up. Everything is very close but you don't feel cramped at all - the house is so cute and there are tons of nooks and crannies in it to shoot. Sarah & Eric had an amazing bluegrass band called Whiskey Rebellion that played at their reception. They were amazing!! Everyone was on the dance floor towards the end of the night - there was no one sitting in their seats - including Erik's grandmother! Missy and I both had a blast and were so thrilled to be a part of this awesome day.

Kathy, these pictures are absolutely amazing. I find it interesting that none of them are posed. They are all fabulous! I love the one where the Bride, Groom, and MOH (maybe) are looking up.

This is photography that stands out.
WOW!

I was just looking up weddings at the Birkby house and came across these photos. We are getting married there in October of this year, and it reaffirmed how excited I am to get married there. Beautiful photos, and it looks like it was a fantastic wedding :)
