Documenting your day in an artistic way!

I love what I do. I am honored to have the privilege to spend the day with couples who are looking for artistic and documentary style photos that represent who they are as individuals, as well as the magic they create as a couple.

Kristen & Alex, April 18, 2009

Kristen & Alex were married at The Naval Academy Chapel on April 18th, 2009. I had so much fun with this couple. They chewed gum for me! I think those shots turned out so cute. They had their reception back at the Leows Hotel on West Street. We played a slide show of their engagement shots at the wedding along with a few shots from that day. Her bridesmaids had given her a big chunky plastic diamond ring and funky glasses the night before - I decided we had to have some fun with those!!!

Carol & Curtis, day after shoot

These are some shots for the day after shoot with Carol & Curtis who were married on April 4th, 2009. We decided to go down to the cherry blossoms on the Sunday after their wedding. I must say it was a challenge to get shots without any people in them! I looked over at The Jefferson Memorial from the opposite side of the Tidal Basin and I could see no white steps due to the amount of people on the steps! We weaved in and out of the crowd and worked our way over the Jefferson Memorial. This was the only day that we could do these shots because the bride & groom were leaving on their honeymoon at 6am the next day. We ended the day with Ice cream and a cab back to their hotel!

Carol & Curtis, April 4th, 2009

Carol & Curtis were married at Western Presbyterian Church in Washington DC on April 4th of this year. They had a traditional ceremony and then a reception at the Women's National Democratic Club in Dupont Circle. The weather was absolutely amazing! This wedding was very intimate with about 60 guests. Carol really wanted to get some shots down at the cherry blossoms by the Jefferson Memorial but due to timing we couldn't make it down there. She decided to go ahead and do an after day shoot to get these shots. We got some wonderful shots on both days! I had my new assistant and second shooter Barbara with me on this wedding and we had such a blast! Curtis & Carol were so much fun to work with! Congratulations!
